Portronics Mport X1 Gigabit Ethernet Adapter, USB-C + USB-A to RJ45, Grey

Who it's for

Choose this Ethernet adapter for laptops, desktops, tablets, and hybrid devices that need a wired RJ45 connection through either USB-C or USB-A. The dual-plug format covers mixed-device setups, including PCs, MacBooks, iPads, tablets, and Android smartphones.

Keep expectations practical for mobile use. Reviews are positive on broad compatibility, but a few buyers mention that phone support can vary by device.

When you'd use it

Switch to wired networking when Wi-Fi drops during video calls, downloads, gaming, or routine office work. The gigabit Ethernet adapter supports speeds up to 1000 Mbps, and buyers repeatedly mention fast, smooth performance that comfortably clears basic broadband needs.

Carry the wired LAN adapter between home, office, and travel setups when network stability matters more than wireless convenience. The 10 cm cable adds enough reach for side ports and desk layouts without making the setup bulky.

What makes it different

Use one adapter across older USB-A systems and newer USB-C devices instead of carrying separate dongles. Plug-and-play support spans Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, and iOS, so setup stays straightforward without extra software in typical use.

Rely on a compact aluminium build for everyday handling. The metallic housing gives the Ethernet adapter a sturdier feel than basic plastic alternatives, especially for users who move between devices often.

What buyers say

Expect strong feedback on speed, connection stability, and overall build quality. Reviewers often mention secure LAN cable fit, smooth wired performance, and good value, with several noting that the adapter works well across both USB-C and USB connections.

Note one recurring caveat before buying for a phone-first setup. Most shoppers report reliable use, though some mention needing a restart or OS update, and a smaller group says certain mobile devices did not connect as expected.
