Most important. Buy a small can of WD-40 (from any local hardware store) when you buy this and give this a good spray all around. Then you shouldn't wash it.Do wash the knife after sharpening, thoughMine actually rusted and I had to treat it with vinegar, wd40 and metal brushing.
