Ikigai for Teens: Finding Your Reason for Being by Héctor García & Francesc Miralles

Who it's for

Start with this book if the reader is 12 or older and thinking about identity, purpose, or future plans. Publisher details place the suggested reading age at 12 years and up, and reviews repeatedly point to teen readers as the main audience.

Readers also describe the message as useful when someone feels unsure about what comes next. Comments often connect the book with moments of confusion, self-reflection, and early career thinking.

When you'd use it

Pick up this kind of reading when school choices, interests, or motivation start feeling hard to sort out. Customers say the book helps frame big questions in a simpler way, including how to think about strengths, passions, and possible career paths.

Gift buyers and family readers also mention that it works well as a conversation starter. Several responses describe discussion-worthy ideas and reflection prompts that can carry beyond the final page.

What buyers say

Expect an approachable read rather than a dense self-help text. Reviewers frequently call the content interesting and easy to understand, and some say even teens who do not usually gravitate toward reflective books stayed engaged.

Feedback also leans strongly toward usefulness. Many readers say the book gave them clearer direction or helped them think more seriously about what matters to them.

Good to know

Readership is supported by a straightforward physical format: English language, hardcover binding, and 176 pages in a single-volume edition. That makes the book easy to hand to a teen reader, keep on a study shelf, or give as a gift.

A small but noticeable review theme is copy consistency. Some buyers mention missing or repeated pages, so checking the book soon after arrival is a practical step.
