How to Be Happy with Who You Are by Sudha Murty

Who is this book for?

Choose this children's chapter book for grade 1-2 readers and for children in the suggested 6-12 age range. The 44-page length keeps the reading load light, so the paperback suits newer independent readers and also works well for shared reading with younger listeners.

When would you use it?

Reach for this short children's story when you want a quick read with a clear emotional takeaway. Reviewers point to themes of self-acceptance, joy, and staying true to who you are, and one customer says the book can build confidence in children.

What makes it different?

Expect full-colour illustrations to carry a real part of the experience. Buyers specifically mention the pictures across the pages, and one review says the simple words plus strong visuals make the story easier for kids to follow without feeling overwhelming.

What do buyers say?

Note that shoppers consistently describe the content as fun, nice, and engaging for children. Reviews also say the story works as a short read that kids enjoy, which makes the book a practical pick when attention spans are short or reading time is limited.

Good to know

Know that value feedback is mixed. Readers like the story and the child-friendly presentation, but several buyers feel the book is brief for the price, so expectations are better set for a slim illustrated paperback rather than a long chapter collection.
